Canada Day and the long weekend has come and gone- three lovely days of sunshine and relaxation here in Montreal. The weekend before was also a long weekend (St Jean Baptiste), so I feel doubly lucky- but it certainly makes it tougher to go back to 5 day work weeks!
Over the weekend I did some drawing and painting. In fact, I dedicated most of Monday to art, putting in some long hours in my wicker chair, drinking home-made iced coffees, pencils and brushes in hand. I’ve been drawing more original sketches, and I’ve decided to give them names. So… meet optimistic Emily, ready for summer in a lemony yellow sundress with daisy-embellished shoes.
